Welcome. If you’ve found your way here, you’re early — and that’s the best time to arrive.
This is the home of The Tulinian Chronicles, an epic portal-fantasy trilogy. Book One, Now That the Fire Has Gone, is still on its way to you, but the world it belongs to has been alive in notebooks and maps for a long time. This blog is where some of that work comes out into the light.
What to expect here
A few kinds of posts, roughly:
- Notes from inside the trilogy — the ideas, images, and problems I keep circling as I write.
- The Writing Process - for me — Like everything in life, you learn as you go. I’m learning not only what it means to write a full-length epic fantasy novel, but the business side of it as well. It’s a process, for sure.
- News — the practical stuff: where Book One is in the process, and when you’ll be able to read it.
If you’d like to know the moment Book One is ready, the newsletter is the surest way. Otherwise, wander around. The fire’s gone out in Tulinia, but there’s still plenty to see by what’s left of the light.
